Wake for Helena's Urban Renewal & Accompanying Exhibit
6:30 PM
Lewis and Clark County History Center, Downtown Helena
Wake for Helena's Urban Renewal & Accompanying Exhibit Description:
The Lewis & Clark County Historical Society is hosting a wake for Helena's urban renewal and the accompanying Helena Urban Renewal Exhibit on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, 6:30 p.m. with a final showing of the exhibit.
This exhibit, developed by the Helena/Lewis & Clark County Heritage Tourism Council, has been on display for the past two plus years in the Lewis & Clark County History Center, located in ground Suite of the Power Block building, 7 West, 6th Avenue (next to Windemere Real Estate).
The Society and the Commission is inviting those who were affected either as participants or as
a result of this significant project to renew Helena's iconic historical city to share their memories.
Comments can be written or spoken, and items reflecting the Urban Renewal process and its effects on the Queen City may be donated for a special Wake time capsule for future generations.
Wilbur Rehmann and friends will provide live music and refreshments will be
part of the faire to recognize the 50th Anniversary of Helena Urban Renewal.
At the wake, the Lewis & Clark County Historical Society will announce its new exhibit entitled "Helena As She Was" being developed by Dennis McCahon, local historian and noted area artist.
