Fall Fiddle Fest and Dance

The cat will be fiddling and the cow might jump over the moon at the fifth annual Boulder Fall Fiddle Fest and Dance on Saturday, October 25th at the United Methodist Church, (211 West Centennial) and the Red Barn at Jefferson County Fair Grounds in Boulder Montana. There will be a free musician's lunch at Noon in the fellowship hall, followed by music and dance workshops at 1 pm. Fiddle groups will perform in the historic old Church with an open mike at 2 pm and featured performers at 5:30 pm. Don't let the dish run away with the spoon; there will be a dinner served in the fellowship hall at 4 pm (a $5.00 donation is requested for the dinner). The festival and workshops are free to the public, with donations accepted for the renovation of the historic old church.

Musicians will be able to show off their skills at the open mic in the Historic Boulder Methodist Church at 2 pm. At 5:30 pm there will be a concert in the church, featuring Brigid and John Reedy and Balled in Burlap. Brigid has been a feature performer at the National Cowboy Poetry festival and Balled in Burlap is a well known old time band from Helena. The concert and open mic are free and open to the public with donations accepted.

Get your dancing boots on, music and fun will continue with an old time country dance at the Red Barn at Jefferson County Fairgrounds from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. The dance will be a combination of called dances, waltzes, two steps, polkas, rounds, squares, country and fiddle tunes. $5.00 for adults, no charge for children. The Jefferson County Fairgrounds is mile south of Boulder on Highway 69.
