It's Time to Celebrate Public Radio in Helena

The Last Chance Public Radio Association is celebrating its 30th year of bringing public radio to the Helena area by holding its annual fundraising auction Saturday, November 22rd at 6 p.m. at the Staggering Ox, 400 Euclid Ave. in Helena. Admission is $15 for individuals or $25 for couples; kids 17 and under are free.

The Last Chance Public Radio Association exists to ensure quality public radio listening opportunities in the Helena area. LCPRA provides volunteer and financial support to bring three great public radio signals to the Helena area. We also provide programming sponsorship and volunteer support to these stations, as well as keeping an ear tuned-in to Helena's public radio future.

Every fall, generous local merchants, artists, and listeners donate items to be auctioned, such as pottery, baskets, paintings, books and a wide variety of gift certificates for food and services. If you would like to donate, contact Dawn North at 443-4284.

Music will be provided by Balled in Burlap, and great food from the Staggering Ox, Mediterranean Grill, Benny's Bistro, Sweetgrass Bakery, and the Big Dipper will be complementary with the price of admission. There will be a no-host bar featuring beer from Helena's Blackfoot River and Lewis and Clark Brewing Companies, and a variety of wines from the Pan Handler. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be available.
