Join the owner of CrossCurrents Fly Shop. Chris Strainer, as he presents a FREE Spey Casting Clinic. Spey casting is a two-handed casting technique that has experienced a resurgence over the past few years. It continues to gain in popularity as people learn about the advantages it presents. Designed for beginners, the classroom presentation will teach the basic fundamentals of spey casting useful to fly fish the Missouri and other rivers with a two-handed rod-Spey and Switch. After a lunch break, we will continue our clinic on Spring Meadow Lake putting it all into action.
*Bring your equipment to learn on as a limited supply of two-handed outfits will be available for use. This will also be a great opportunity to try before you buy. This class will be indoors and outdoors on the water. Please dress accordingly. Waders, jackets, and gloves are highly suggested for the outdoor portion of this clinic. Morning refreshments will be provided. Please bring a sack lunch.
