Caroline Patterson and O. Alan Weltzien Description:
Bedrock Books and Drumlummon Institute invite you to a reading of recently published works by two western Montana writers, Caroline Patterson and O. Alan Weltzien, on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. in the large meeting room of the Lewis & Clark Library, Helena, MT.

Patterson will read from Ballet at the Moose Lodge, a new collection of short stories, published by Drumlummon Institute (2017). Weltzien will read from from two new publications: The Comfort Pathway: Walking and Writing Through Death and Grief, a chapbook essay about his mother’s last weeks of life, and Thinking Continental: Writing the Planet One Place at a Time (co-editor, University of Nebraska Press, 2017), a collection of essays, narratives and poems by more than 40 authors connecting local and personal landscapes to universal systems and processes that articulate global or planetary citizenship.

Books will be for sale and the authors will sign books following the reading. The reading is free and open to the public.
