In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Helena United Methodist Ministries invites you to a free screening of the documentary film, 13th, on Thursday, January 20th, at 7:00 pm at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, followed by a community discussion. "13th" is Ava DuVernay's extraordinary documentary tracing the ties between the 13th Amendment to the Constitution (which abolished slavery) and the horrors of mass incarceration today. The 90-min. film will be followed by a discussion moderated by Dr. Lisa Williams, of PureView Health Center.
