Pat McKelvey, Tri-County FireSafe Working Group, has been selected to receive the 2018 National Wildfire Mitigation Award. Pat was selected along with eight other people nationwide. McKelvey has been working with wildland fire mitigation and suppression since 1987. The public is invited to attend the local award recognition event in the Old Supreme Court Chamber, Montana State Capitol on Thursday, January 25, 1:30-3:00. The national award recognition will be in Reno, Nevada on February 28, 2018.
