The theme for the Last Chance Audubon March Natural History Lecture series is: Wildfire in Montana: Its History, Science, and Impact on Habitat. Programs begin at 7:00 pm, the first four Mondays of March and are held at Montana WILD, 2668 Broadwater Ave. Arrive early for the best seat. Carpooling is recommended.

The March 5 topic – Options for Dealing with Climate Change and Wildfire presented by Steve Running. Dr. Running received his PhD in Forest Ecology from Colorado State and has been Professor of Global Ecology at University of Montana since 1979. He is a Land Team Leader for the NASA Earth Observing System, author of over 300 scientific articles, and shared the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize.
