Trump's Immigration Policy and the U.S. Constitution Description:
On Thursday, March 23 (7:00pm, Lower Cube-Carroll College), Gabriel J. Chin (UC-Davis Law) will deliver a public lecture entitled "President Trump's Immigration Policy and the Limits of the U.S. Constitution." This lecture is sponsored by Carroll College's Constitutional Studies Center, with the generous support of the Apgar Foundation.

Professor Chin is a nationally recognized expert on Immigration Law, Criminal Procedure and issues pertaining to race and law. His work has been cited as an authority by the United States Supreme Court. At UC-Davis, Professor Chin teaches Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, and Immigration Law. He has worked with students on a number special projects, including: efforts to repeal Jim Crow Laws that remain on the books throughout the United States, an effort in 2003 to secure the ratification of the 14th amendment in the state of Ohio, and the repeal of anti-Asian alien land laws which were on the books in Kansas, New Mexico and Wyoming.

A gifted teacher and lecturer, Professor Chin earned a B.A. at Wesleyan, a J.D. from Michigan and an LL.M. from Yale.
