Painter Andy White has lived in six states since leaving Montana, and when he moved back home he was moved by the return to its inviting landscapes, waters, and people. Inviting to outdoors-lovers–inviting to artists. He translates his excitement into his brushwork, evoking a sense of the simple grandeur of home.

In the Bible Jesus says, “It was not you who chose me, but I who choose you.” Artist/illustrator Harvey Dunn said “There is no such thing as a creative artist–they merely express that which has always been.” He also said: “You don’t do things with an idea; they do things with you.”

In this sense, the artist is chosen by the ideas that insist on expression.
