The 116th season of concerts in the park performed by the State Capital Band will present their 2nd concert at 8:00 pm at the Memorial Park band shell under the direction of Robert Loveridge. This band is one of the longest continually performing bands in the country and features 50-60 of the finest local musicians.

Mr. Loveridge will lead the band through a wide variety of patriotic tunes. The audience will then vote on their favorites from each concert. Those pieces chosen as favorites will be performed during the final concert.

Picnics, blankets, lawn chairs, and children in the playground will help make the concerts an enjoyable way to spend a summer evening with family and friends.

Rehearsals are held each Wednesday night before the concerts at 7:30 pm in the Helena High School band room. Due to the 4th of July being on a Wednesday night, the band will practice on July 3rd for the July 5th concert. For more information about the the rehearsals, please contact Mr. Loveridge at 324-2342.
