The second concert of the 115th season of concerts in the park performed by the State Capital Band will be held tonight at 8:00 pm at the Memorial Park band shell. Mr. Robert Loveridge, conductor, will lead the band through a variety of patriotic pieces. Special recognition will be given to service members and veterans.
This band is one of the longest continually performing bands in the country and features 50-60 of the finest local musicians.The audience will again vote on their favorites from this concert. Those chosen as favorites will be performed during the final concert.
Picnics, blankets, lawn chairs, and children in the playground will help make the concerts an enjoyable way to spend a summer evening with family and friends.
