Hailing from Ellensburg, WA, The Black Velvet Band (a.k.a.
Black Velvet) have been shaking up the Northwest with
their infectious blend of noisy post-punk and poetic intensity.
Since the release of their debut album Flood on Snake
Music in February 2025, they’ve been praised as “a break
in the cloud cover. Hard light.” From art galleries and dive
bars to secret forest shows, this band thrives on pushing
the limits. Influenced by everything from black midi and
James Brown to Jaco Pastorius and Ghost, they deliver
high-voltage performances fueled by raw energy, authenticity,
and a deep commitment to their craft. Wild, free, hardworking,
they live up to their motto with every show.

Straight out of Bozeman, Montana, The Love Darts craft infectious,
heartfelt punk rock that shines a light on their rapidly
changing hometown. On their sophomore release Neon Girls,
the band takes aim at Bozeman’s soaring rent and shrinking
mountain views with humor, grit, and a “dirtbag” spirit.
Tracks like “Five Over One” explode with crunchy guitars
and joyful hooks, while the lyrics balance sharp observations
with small-town nostalgia.

With Jimi Kehoe, Jeff Jensen, Joey
Kehoe, and Graham Owen leading the charge, The Love Darts
prove themselves as heartfelt storytellers who embrace their
roots while pointing toward a brighter, louder future.
