From My Pandemic To Yours: Songs for our times by Henry Purcell (who survived the Great Plague of London), performed by Anne Kania (contralto), Martha Rowe (keyboard) and Mark Bergman (double bass and viola da gamba).

Purcell’s songs go through an incredible range, from serious theological masterpieces to naughty comic songs, with mad songs and beautiful love songs filling in the spectrum. The performers have chosen songs that reflect our various experiences of the Pandemic period and (hopefully) emergence from it - discombobulation, grief, loneliness, comfort and optimism.

This is a “porch” concert at a home in the Helena valley. Please bring a chair to set up in the shade in the large parking area, and food or drink to share after the concert. Suggested donation $25. RSVP to simplystrings1@gmail.com by July 23 to reserve a place and get directions.
