New Historic Walking Tour for August Sunday afternoons
Learn more about Helena's early development on the South-Central Historic Walking Tour on Sundays in August at 2:00 PM.

Buildings highlighted on the tour illustrate Helena's changes from a mining camp to a town.The area contains some of the earliest permanent residences dating from 1868, plus schools, hospitals, and a red light district. Housing was provided for early business owners along with multiple housing units for the working class tenants.

The 90-minute (approx.) tour includes some uphill/downhill sections so wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water.Meet at Rodney and State Streets for the beginning of the tour. Sponsored by the Lewis and Clark County Historical Society.
