Description:
Based on Katharine Hayhoe's recent publication "Saving Us: A Climate Scientist's Case for Hope and Healing in a Divided World", there will be an opportunity to learn from and listen to scientists, scholars, and authors addressing climate change. Each session is held on Wednesdays in September, beginning September 3 and continuing on the 10th, the 17th and the 24th at 12 noon. The following is a list of speakers and venues: KTVH Chief Meteorologist, Curtis Grevenitz, speaking at the Lewis and Clark Library; on September 10, Chris LaTray, Montana Poet Laureate, presenting through his writing an Indigenous person's perspective on earth care; September 17, Ecologist Mark Mariano, will describe the impact on bird migrations which will begin at 12:30 (note time adjustment) at Montana Wild; and concluding with a panel of Dr. Eric Meyer, and Dr. Jeanette Fregulia, both Carroll College Faculty, and Sue Kronenberger representing Flowing Mountains Sangho, taking place at Plymouth Congregational Church.
