” Choteau author Nancy Thornton relies heavily on the Montana Historical Society’s digitized newspaper collections in her writing. Thornton will focus her talk on how two internet sites—Chronicling America and Montana Newspapers—enable her to present local history in a short story format that is readily accessible to readers of the Choteau Acantha in her weekly column on “old news.” Additionally, her columns have been gathered in two books, Tales from the Rocky Mountain Front and Tales from Montana’s Teton County.
