Description:
Join Carroll College Theatre for Little Women: The Broadway Musical running September 20 through October 6, 2024.
In a world where women are expected to act a certain way and only allowed to do certain things, one young woman dares to dream beyond those expectations. Set in Civil War America, Jo March creates fantastical stories of heroics and romance. With her sisters, Meg, Beth and Amy, and her best friend Laurie, Jo writes and performs her imaginative stories with the hopes of one day selling them and becoming a world-famous writer. But growing up in a society that has expectations isn’t easy. The March sisters must lean on each other to become who they are meant to be while also finding their own place both separately and in their family structure. Based on Louisa May Alcott's book, Little Women is a story of four girls who are fighting to become women in their own way and in their own time. Familial bonds, love, loss, heartbreak and courage will help them along the way.
The show runs September 20-October 6, 2024, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm and Sundays at 2:30 pm. The performance is approximately 2 1/2 hours. Tickets are $5 with a Carroll ID or for children under 12, $12 for non-Carroll students and seniors, and $15 for General Admission. Purchase tickets at the door or online at https://cct.booktix.com.
The FLEX Theatre is located in the lower level of the campus center near the corner of Benton and Lyndale in the building with the bookstore. We are wheelchair accessible and we have accessible seating. There is a wheelchair ramp on the East side of the building and an elevator that goes down to the theatre level.
