Josephine White Bates’ novel A Blind Lead with University of Providence English Professor Aaron Parrett. Bates lived in Butte before it transitioned from the silver mining camp to large-scale copper mining, and her novel of life in a fictionalized city served as a capitalist morality tale, but also of Butte before its boom. $5
