Creating Your World: A Writing Workshop with Virginia Reeves
6:00 PM
Lewis and Clark Library
Creating Your World: A Writing Workshop with Virginia Reeves Description:
In her memoir, Lab Girl, Hope Jahren asks, "What if the landscape wasn't setting the stage for the plants, but the plants were setting their own stage...?" With this year's Big Read and Helena College’s STEAM Month as inspiration, this workshop explores the same question as it pertains to the landscape and setting of fiction. Participants will generate new ideas, reshape old ones, receive feedback on their work, and leave with a handful of prompts and techniques. Led by Helena College Writing and Communications instructor and celebrated author Virginia Reeves, the workshop is free, with registration required. Please go to www.lclibrary.org or call 447-1690 to sign up.
