Brenda Wähler will present her program on "Helena's Horse Racing History".
The Queen City hosted the first organized horse racing meet in Montana territory, running races at the one-mile fairgrounds track. Brenda is a Helena attorney, former teacher, and a fourth-generation Montanan with a lifelong interest in horses and history.
She showed horses in the 1970's and 1980's when the racing community was a major presence at fairgrounds across the country. Since then she has taught riding and judged horse shows for many years.
