Join Carroll College Theatre for the 6th Annual 100 Year Play Reading, celebrating over a century of theatre at Carroll College! It will be held November 8 from 7:30-9 pm in the Carroll College FLEX Theatre in the Campus Center. Each year, Carroll honors their theatre tradition by performing a play that was staged at Carroll 100 years ago. This year’s selection is Broadway Jones by George Cohan, originally performed in 1926.
Broadway Jones tells the story of a small-town man who discovers the bright lights of Broadway, only to find his true character back home. It’s a clever comedy “with every other line a laugh” (Concord Theatricals).
Performed in a fun radio-style format, this event offers a glimpse into theatrical styles of the past and a cozy evening of entertainment for all. Admission is free and everyone is welcome!
