This is a rectangular block with a large triangle in the middle called the goose and 2 side triangles called the sky. Many times the small triangles are made from the same color, but it is not the rule.

The different techniques to make and square up these popular blocks will be explored in this class. Uses of Flying Geese in a quilt will be discussed. At the end of the class, examples of flying geese in quilts will be displayed.

Requirements:6 x 24 inch ruler, square ruler - 12" x 12" or larger is preferred; rotary cutter with new blade; rotary cutting mat; sewing machine in good working order with new needle; thread - neutral color such as cream, white or light gray; seam ripper; scissors, thread snips and quilting pins, fabric marker.
