The City of Helena/Lewis and Clark County Heritage Tourism Council (HTC) will present the annual Historic Preservation awards at 5:00 PM, Thursday, November 13th at the Lewis and Clark County Historical Society History Center located in the downtown Helena Historic Steamboat Block, 618 Helena Avenue. The History Center will be open for viewing after the awards ceremony.
This year’s award recipients include:
Ajitpal Pannu for his work to restore the Montana Club, including the Rathskeller, at 24 W. 6th Avenue in downtown Helena.
Becca Leaphart and Ben Brouwer for their extensive renovation of 219 Blake Street.
Karson Klass of Karson Klass Masonry.
Patty Hernandez and Justin Gude for the historic rock wall restoration at 514 W. Lawrence St.
CR Anderson Mann Gulch Club 2023-24 for their research and commitment to establish the Mann Gulch Trail 258 as a national recreation trail.
Tammy Bridges for her tireless work to improve and promote the Marysville Museum.
The special Herb Jacobson Historic Preservation Award for Lifetime Achievement will be presented to retired Montana State Architect Tom O’Connell for his ongoing dedication to historic preservation for Helena and Lewis and Clark County.
