How to whittle a spoon? Sign-up for this class with carpenter Mary Webb and find out how! Mary will teach participants how to mark out and begin the process of carving a blank of wood into what will become a spoon. We will learn about the difference between hard woods and soft woods, how to identify grain direction and how to use it to your advantage, how to draw a spoon (i.e. depth of spoon depression, size of handle, size of head, design based off of intended purpose), and then start to carve as we bring our spoons out of the wood and into life!

At the end of the sessions, you'll have made a spoon to feed your curiosity for more wood carving!
