This is the step that brings everything into the quilt. Quilting enhances the beauty of the quilt, and can stand out on its own or blend in with the overall quilt design.

There are several methods to do the quilting—hand quilting, tying the quilt, quilting in the hoop with an embroidery machine, regular machine quilting and long arm quilting. This class will focus on quilting with your domestic sewing machine and long arm quilting. Each student will have the opportunity to practice on the long arm quilt machine.

Requirements:sewing machine in good working order with new needle and walking foot, hopping foot or open toe foot; thread - neutral color such as cream, white or light gray; seam ripper; scissors, thread snips.
