From the ashes of former projects came Each Both, a distilled version of Helena-native Victor Johnson and Skyler Hamler's vision of pop music as an art form. The group's debut album, Please, Yeah, features the duo's most focused and punchy work to date. Written while the duo was transitioning to their new home in Portland and watching their old band slowly dissolve, the album is awash with feelings of rebirth, resilience, and the hazy self-doubt that comes with moving from a small town to the city. At Staggering Ox, Each Both kicks off the show in their original incarnation as a bar-band duo, then closes with the full five-piece set-up, bringing this sound to life with tight arrangements and soaring harmonies. 6pm.
