Description:
"The Airplane Comes to Helena, Cromwell Dixon and the 1911 State Fair" is the subject of Bob Ohnstad's presentation to the Last Chance Gulch Corral Dinner Club on Monday, November 20, 2017. The group will meet in the lower dinning room at Jorgenson's Restaurant at 5:30 p.m. for no-host cocktails followed by dinner at 6:00 p.m. Reservations are required. Bob Ohnstad, pastor of All Saints Lutheran Church in Clancy, will talk about early aviation history in Montana. The major emphasis will be on young Cromwell's brief but amazingly impressive flying career. Cromwell Dixon holds the world's first record of a successful flight over the continental divide.
