An exaggerated and sensual form of dance, Burlesque has been part of variety shows for decades. And when people think 'Burlesque,' the image isn't complete without a feather boa. Come experience the beauty and power of this over-the-top dance style at a two hour introduction workshop taught by Aerial Fitness trainer Sabrina Harding hosted by the Lotus Dance Center. The workshop will feature a warm up, breakdowns of basic Burlesque moves, learning to manipulate the boa, and will finish with a short choreographed dance to a Christmas song focusing on boa movement. Each move will have progressions and regressions, to accommodate all dance and fitness levels. Please come barefoot or in comfortable strap-on dance heels. Please wear leggings or a skirt (with shorts underneath). Bring your own boa, or a knitted scarf if feathers aren't your thing.
